Accountability and Sustainability
During our first year of implementation with 6th Grade, CMS saw an increase in Math and ELA on the Georgia Milestone Assessment. For the 2019-2020 school year, we did not have Milestone data to determine the impact of STEM implementation. CMS plans to utilize Milestone data this year as well as MAP testing data, which our district introduced the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year.
We have also began implementing essential standards into our STEM instruction and in our first year of implementation of STEM using the essential standard of Unit Rates in 6th grade Math we saw a 12% increase in proficiency following instruction through STEM. |
