- Dr. Arnold met with 6th grade teachers to discuss becoming STEM certified.
- Contacted Adairsville Middle School about how they got started.
- Kim Holland (ILT) and Michelle Lemons (6th grade ELA teacher) went on AMS STEM walk May 2019.
- Dr. Arnold (Principal), Kim Holland (ILT), Jesse Simpson (6th grade Social Studies teacher), Torre Ray (6th grade Math/ELA teacher), and Wesley Thompson (6th grade Science/Social Studies teacher) went on AMS STEM walk September 2019.
- Met with 6th grade teachers on 9/20/19
- Explained how we will implement STEM in 6th grade.
- Sent three teachers to AMS for STEM walk and they shared things that they observed.
- Set a date for our first STEM walk on November 20
- Discussed the 4 C's + 1 C (community)
- Wesley Thompson (6th grade Science/Social Studies teacher) attended STEM conference in Athens, Ga. On Monday October 21 – 22, 2019
- Ariel Martin (8th grade Science teacher), Ashley Turner (6th grade ELA teacher), and Torre Ray (6th grade ELA and Math teacher) attended STEAM Innovation Training on Thursday, October 24, 2019.
- Met with 6th grade teachers on October 30, 2019
- Shared info from STEAM innovation conference.
- Talked about brainstorming a STEM logo for our school
- Teachers working on a list of supplies they need for the STEM walk.
- STEAM Innovation Training on December 11th, 2019
- Cass Middle Robotics team is called Mission Possible and they consist of all 6th graders. Team members include Derris Reece, Mitchell Martin, Abi Harper, Kaleb Bunch and Connor New. This is Cass Middle's first year having a competitive Lego League Robotics Team. Students had to build and design their own robot, create their own programs, and execute them to perform missions on a table for the judges. Cass Middle won first place at GHC on Saturday January 25th, 2020 and brought home the trophy for the Robot Design category.

- In December 2019, 6th grade students designed their own CMS STEM logo which inspired our current logo.
- Ms. Turner, Mrs. Ray, and Mrs. Martin completed STEM Innovation training and graduated on March 5th, 2020.
- On January 31, 2020 Cass Middle hosted its second annual Astronomy Night that included parents and community members.
2020 - 2021
- Torre Ray and Kaitlyn Kokal were selected to represent CMS in the STEM Teacher Champion Academy for 2020-2021.
- September 17, 2020 – Had our first STEM Leadership Team Meeting with representatives from each grade level.

- Cass Middle School created their own Engineering Design Process and placed posters in the STEM Leadership classrooms.
- Flyers were created to send to potential community members in September 2020.

- January 2021 - Cass Middle School receives Bartow County Certification
